Ogopogo – A. Gaal

Ogopogo: The True Story of the Okanagan Lake Million Dollar Monster
Gaal, Arlene
1955, Big Country Books
1986, Hancock House
128 pp.

Gaal, who believes she has seen Ogopogo several times, is the closest thing this cryptid has to an official historian. This is a brief but lively account of the Canadian lake monster, with an excellent photo section and a table of sightings from 1860 to 1984. It is unclear how accurate the native lore is, however.
